Frequently Asked Questions
What is the difference between a strip out and demolition?
A strip out removes non-structural interiors. Demolition removes the structure itself.
Can services be left live?
Live services must be isolated or made safe by the right trade before stripping near them. Agree this in the quote.
Can reusable fittings be kept?
Yes. List what you want to keep, sell or donate before work starts.
Are old ceiling boards a risk?
Some older ceiling and floor products contain asbestos. Have suspect materials tested before work starts.
Can the work happen after hours?
Many contractors work nights or weekends in occupied buildings. This may affect the price.
